"Orlando, the most important of the twelve paladins of France (which constituted the selection guard of the emperor Carlo Magno), Conte d'Aglante, son of Milone and Berta (sister of Carlo Magno and therefore nephew of these). Orlando was also a husband of Aldabella (sister of Oliviero), Rinaldo's cousin (his rival in love for the beautiful angelica). He holds his magical sword, the ""Durlindana"" with which he carries out his values businesses.
