The furnishings presented here come not only from the largest palaces belonging to the most prestigious Sicilian and Italian families but also from the more modest nineteenth-century residences of the small and medium-sized bourgeoisie. This is why the antiques department of the ArtLaRosa auction house offers the public a rich catalog, satisfying the collecting taste of a wide audience, from precious 18th century coin cases in black ebonized wood with glass paintings in tiles to the most widespread manufacturing chiffoniers. Sicilian, solutions that embrace different periods, from the seventeenth to the nineteenth century, whose styles pass from Louis XIV, XV, XVI, Empire, Charles X to Louis Philippe. The typological variety of chests of drawers, consoles, mirrors, chairs and armchairs produced by workers from different fields and periods as well as the refined and precious objects is also conspicuous. The antiques department therefore includes a heterogeneous variety that meets any taste, from love and research for detail to that for softer and more sober lines. One of our Top Lots is certainly the console made in the Milan area by Ferdinando Pogliani (link to: Auction 21, lot 88), in ebonized black wood and inlaid with grotesques and ivory garlands on the truncated pyramidal feet but also the terracotta sculptures of the circle Antonio Begarelli.

Our auctions in the Antiques section are held every two months and boast expertise in the practical exercise of expertise and sales, the results of which are offered in our auction catalogs, edited by our highly specialized staff.
