Of Calatine origins already located in a prestigious building in Caltagirone and now in a notary's office, it is a unique example of Sicilian cabinet making commissioned by a noble Sicilian family. The bookcase consists of six modules, three on each side, of which the last is curved which with an entablature at the head agrees with the opposite side, creating a semi-elliptical or horseshoe shape. Each module consists of a base H cm 90 with double door in wood surmounted by a showcase with double door H cm 175 to which an entablature with several orders of moldings, superimposed on a notched frame, acts as a hat. The overlying shape assumes a projecting aspect, typical of the 18th century, the height of the whole hat is 29 cm. Number of eight fluted Corinthian columns, four on each side H 175 cm of excellent sculptural quality, embellish the side elevations giving volume and decoration to the whole wooden composition of the bookcase. The conversation status is excellent, the piece of furniture can be disassembled into several parts and is available for transport to any destination.
