The print shows Apollo, on the left, in a chariot drawn by four horses, accompanied by seven maidens representing the hours; above the horses is Lucifer, depicted as putti, carrying a torch; and on the right is Aurora, carrying bouquets of flowers, leading them through the clouds to the dawn of a new day.
