Herend Rothschild series white porcelain bowl
22x17.5 cm
Since 1860, this is undoubtedly one of Herend's most famous motifs, named after its creator, Baron Rothschild. The decoration features birds perched on a branch. A necklace is almost always found hanging from the tree; it's the necklace Baroness Rothschild believed lost, but was later found in the garden, guarded by two birds on a tree branch.
A Rothschild service was used for the ceremony at Prince Charles's wedding to Lady Diana in 1981, remained in the possession of the princess and is now in the possession of her son William.
