Nude woman, 20th century
Bronze

“In this series of small bronzes, created in a rush of plastic fascination, Edolo Masci has once again addressed the theme that is dear to him par excellence: that of the female body captured in the most diverse movements, caressed in its surfaces rich with chromatic suggestions. […] Masci has deliberately dilated the contours of these sculptures, opening them up to the accentuated modernity of disharmony and surrealism. And he has done so not to obey external canons, but rather to be consistent with his pictorial discourse […]. […] these sculptures attract, engaging with their very sweet sinuosity, seeming almost infinite in their sibylline oracularity, in their intemperate and delirious nudity.” (Francesco Gallo, Corpo di donna in Sculture di Masci, Edizioni D'Arte La Vite, 1988, p. 8)
