Gesualdo Di Bartolo, son of Celestino, a ceramist from Calatabiano, was the author of ceramics decorated in the Venetian style.
The large cylinder features a wide mouth with a rounded edge, a short neck, and a low base. The decoration features medallions on both sides with busts of a female figure on one side and a warrior on the other. The decoration features leaf motifs painted in shades of cobalt blue, antimony yellow, green, and white.
