Milorad Bata Mihailović was one of the most representative Serbian artists of the post-World War II period. His painting always moved between expressionism and abstraction, dedicating himself to portraits and landscapes as well as to abstract compositions based on signs and gestures. From 1952, he lived and worked between Paris and Belgrade until his death in 2011.
