Natale Attanasio was a painter, set designer and illustrator originally from Catania in the mid-nineteenth century. He studied at the Institute of Fine Arts in Naples, where he was a pupil of Domenico Morelli. He made his debut in Naples at the Promotrice in 1876 and also exhibited in Paris two years later. His pictorial production focuses on genre and historical scenes and above all on portraiture. He made portraits of the most important writers of his time such as Mario Rapisardi, Federico de Roberto and Luigi Capuana. & Nbsp; & nbsp;
