Patrizia Italiano  is an artisan artist, lives in Sicily between Palermo and his Filicudi, a source of inspiration and research. Ceramics has always been her passion. Manual work and creativity have accompanied her in every moment of her life. From a very young age she exhibited in Milan, New York, Tokyo, the United Arab Emirates and other countries. He has started working again after a long period of inactivity with new collections of sculptures, heads, plates and vases, telling of Sicily in an ironic and contemporary way. Each object is made by hand, without the aid of molds or presses. He works and models each piece with different techniques, in a different way from each other. All the ceramics are cooked over high heat with glazes and slips or crystalline which he composes personally. The collection of the "sellers of Sicily", was born out of love for his city, Palermo, with its markets, its smells, its foods imbued with centuries of culture and history. Mediterranea, was born for his second love: the island of Filicudi where he has his heart; with the sea, the red earth and the blue declined in many ways. The "Scapiddate" tell instead, women against the tide, hair in the air, but feet firmly planted on the ground. Each work is unique and may have small differences. It was selected among the most interesting craftsmen in the world featured in the Homo Faber guide, by the Michelangelo Foundation.
