Luigi di Giovanni stands out for his training in many artistic realities in Italy at the end of the 19th century. It was with his father that he learned to draw and engrave, then going on to perfect himself, between 1873 and 1882, in Naples in the workshop of the painter Domenico Morelli. between 1875 and 1877, still young, he was present in the most important national exhibitions. Signed lower left. Presence of white spots in the lower part and along the left edge of the work.
