Vincenzo Irolli

(Napoli, 1860 - Napoli, 1949)

Trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, his work is characterised by scenes of everyday life and religious subjects. The painting depicts a woman's face characterised by a green pigment in the girl's eyes. The physiognomic figure is masterfully rendered thanks to the fluid, fibrous brushstrokes. The painting bears the signature of the painter Irolli in the lower right corner.
