Roberto Masi is an important exponent of Italian Primitivism. He was born in Florence in 1940. From an early age he began to show an inclination to drawing and painting, but then he had to follow technical studies, also enrolling in the Faculty of Economics and Commerce. But after two years the strong impulse of art returns and begins to attend first artistic circles and then directly painting studios in his city including Pietro Annigoni, Enzo Pregno, Antonio Bueno. The meeting with Professor Pilade Giorgetti was decisive for the inner development and for the definitive insertion in the Florentine artistic environment. He attended the free Nude Academy at the Florence Academy of Art. In 1970 he attended the artistic group "Segno rosso" which made it concrete with an exhibition in 1972 at the Il Moro art studio in Florence, the headquarters of the group. The work is signed lower right and on the back. Authentication and archive of the artist on photography. & Nbsp;
