Esteban Villalta Marzi was born in 1956 in Rome. Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome with the masters Umberto Mastroianni and Toti Scialoja, From the late 1970s he began exhibiting his works in Italy, Spain, Portugal and Germany. Since the 1980s he has created environmental paintings on urban walls, in discos, in shops, on film sets. Between the eighties and nineties he became one of the major exponents of European Pop Art with the artistic movement "Movida Madrilena".
