'' Pupil of Felice Ricci (Verona 1539-1605) he moves to Venice where he is influenced by the works of Tintoretto, Veronesi and Jacopo Bassano, he goes to Rome, around 1615, and knows the paintings of Caravaggio. Returning to Vaenezia he declines the Bassanian and Roman influences and has appreciation only for Venetian painting, especially for naturists. Orbit in the context of monasteries and convents (1628). In this period his most appreciable works are the portraits in which, in the opinion of Longhi (1959), he is of a Rembrandtian value and dignity, such as to be able to measure himself with Hals and Velazquez. He died of the plague in Verona. The revaluation of Bassetti is largely due to Longhi. "" STUDIO ASOR
