From the 1970s until his death, he participated in numerous national and international exhibitions (New York, Milan, Rome, Bielefeld, Saint-Paul de Vence, etc.). In 2006, he received the prestigious Vittorio De Sica Award under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic.
Alongside her extensive oil and acrylic production, her pastel on paper work is also vast and significant: here, the compositions become more essential and poetic, taking advantage of the medium's airiness and immediacy. In our work, "Unpredictable Automatisms of a Woman," the figure's body delicately compresses within the confines of the broad sheet, conveying, in the sinuous diagonal structure, chromatic tangles, masses, and dots of color.
Signed and titled lower right. Featured on the cover of the volume "Ennio Calabria - Pastelli," Sanzanobi Art Collection.
