Roberto Rampinelli is an artist born in Bergamo. He lives and works between Milan, Urbino and Amer, in the region of Catalonia in Spain. From 1981 to 1988 he taught engraving technique at the Sforza Castle Art School in Milan. He has dedicated himself to book illustration and has published various graphics folders. His works usually represent still lifes and fantastic landscapes. His works are also characterized by a limited number of objects and essential compositional lines: fruit, vegetables, flowers or, sometimes, shells and containers. In 1993 he was awarded the La Ginestra d'oro Engraving Award in Ancona and the first prize at the Second Biennial of Graphic City of Castelleone. In 1996 he received the first prize for graphics at the Agna National Competition and in 1999 he was awarded the first prize at the IV National Biennial of Engraving in Acqui Terme. The work in question is signed in the lower center.
