Maskov was a Russian artist of the first half of the twentieth century. Originally from a peasant family from Volgograd, in 1900 he moved to Moscow to study at the School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture where he met Konstantin Korovin and Valentin Serov, exponents of Russian impressionism. He was part of the group "Fante di Quadri" or a group of young artists who had as their objective to renew Russian painting inspired by artists such as Van Gogh, Cezanne and Matisse. The artist always remained in the figurative field even if his works are characterized by a strong and bright chromatic range. & Nbsp; </ o: p>
